About Radius

Leading the Way

The future is composites—we’ve known this for decades. When we started in 1986, other materials reigned supreme. But we saw the potential for strong, lightweight materials to radically transform a wide range of industries. Today, demand for composite aircraft engine structures alone is forecast to grow by 7% annually through 2018. We’re uniquely suited to help our customers meet that demand.

The Radius Difference

Our small and mighty team challenges convention by asking “what if?” and acting on theories to develop game-changing solutions. We’ve helped redefine the worlds of action sports, commercial and military aviation, space exploration and automotive manufacturing. In the 1970s, Radius founder and CEO, Dimitrije Milovich, charted new territory on the slopes. He laid the foundation of modern snowboarding by revolutionizing the essential features of snowboards. While others used wood, he applied a polyethylene base, polyeurthane middle, and fiberglass. It’s just one of many examples of our team’s inventive approach to engineering.

Where We Work

An advanced space for advancing composites. Our headquarters meets efficiencies for silver LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating sponsored by the U.S. Green Building Council. It’s bright, open and conducive to mindful thinking, creative collaboration and bold project execution. One of Utah’s first privately owned, commercial LEED certified facilities, it emphasizes personal, corporate and community well-being—inside and out. Employees enjoy easy access to the adjacent Jordan River Parkway where they’re encouraged to walk, bike, cycle and clear their heads on a scenic trail system. Our commitment to the parkway runs deep. We recently installed a drinking fountain along the path and sponsored a team of 20 to participate in a trail-side conservation project.
